Gary Stevens lives
in Soquel, California with his wife and 3 children. He creates
sculptural vessels from native burls in redwood, myrtle, buckeye, koa,
sycamore, and maple, as well as from fine sustainable-forest exotic
hardwoods such as cocobolo and ebony.

Gary's sculptures are shown
in numerous prestigious galleries and museums throughout the
country. Gary's been woodturning/sculpting as
an avocation for over 25 years in the tradition of architect Ed
Moulthrop, and engineer
Melvin Lindquist, and has concurrently worked for over 22 years as a
professional in the commercial construction field. As job superintendent,
he is responsible to bring the building out of the ground to turn-key
completion. The
Stanford University Alumni Building (valued at 31 million dollars)
was completed Spring
2001.
